Tell me about this, is it a shrub it is very pretty

It's classed as a sub-shrub, I think, Bjs. You can get pale pink, white and a new pink-edged white one! :-)

Latin name: Gaura lindheimeri.

BJ, this is next to two pink Coreopsis and they all came through this past winter with no trouble at all so i'd say try them in your garden - it'll be the same climatic conditions as here surely ?
The ground these are in is quite thin, poor soil .... very well drained and it appears to let these plants, which are thought of as not very frost hardy, make it through the winters unscathed !!!

I've seen a lot of them in the garden centres currently so you may be lucky if you were tempted to buy one at this time :)

The new one, dual coloured, is called 'Rosy-Jane' and it's everywhere, as I think it was called 'the plant of the year' somewhere... It is very pretty, though. You can't help but find that one, Brian! It will find you! LOL.
