wow so lovely PP, i have a foxglove in bud hope its as lovely as this one, did you know how poisonus they are, i only found out the other day, they make me itch if i touch them but some people get swollen throats, itchy hives on their bodys, blocked throats, can even kill some people, how scarey, but im not getting rid of mine, my friend doesnt want the one i gave her so im having it back, :o)

Yes Sandra the foxgloves are beautiful plants, its susprising how many of our garden plants can be potentially poisonous. Digitalis is famous for treating heart conditions, extracts from the plant are used to produce Digoxin and digitoxin which are commonly used in regulating the heart beat., many other plants also are used in herbal remedies which if misused could be fatal. But dont you worry your pretty head, just wash your hands after handling and Enjoy!
