Thanks everyone. How are your's Amy?
This is the biggest so far, its the size of a tennis ball!
As I've said before - I told my husband it would never fruit as too cold here but it has proved me wrong.
I will be sharing mine up to with the family Amy. So when would you say they will be ready - mid August??
22 Jul, 2009
Yes about mid August Dawn depending on how much sunshine we have ! , usually when the family are here on Holiday .. I haven,t looked at mine today . That will be my first thing to do tomorrow , I don,t think that I have one the size of a tennis ball , yours could be the winner ....LOL...

Now showing my age Dawn ..one of my favourite albums Eat a Peach by Allman Brothers ..
22 Jul, 2009
We'll see Amy - knowing my luck this one will drop off, it is the biggest one, maybe as it has this branch all to itself. I dont think I would have had so much success without your advice Amy - with the peach leaf curl problem and all that. It still needs its little umbrella though.
22 Jul, 2009
Ha ha, Ray/Jane - not familiar with Allman Bro's but like the sound of their album. David Bowie was one of my early age favourites, lol. Most other girls were into Donny Osmond!!
22 Jul, 2009
You probably heard and not realised it Dawn ..Jessica is the theme tune to Top Gear by them and Duane Allman played guitar solo on Layla ( Derek and the Dominoes with Clapton ) .
Lou Reed a big favourite always get brownie points when listen to Sweet Jane ..aww
22 Jul, 2009
No Ray, didnt realise the Top Gear theme was one of their's and I know Layla too :-) Dont let Toto know about Sweet Jane.
22 Jul, 2009
Only play it Christmas ..just before I open my pressies usually take it off quickly as I open the tenth pair of socks ..lol
22 Jul, 2009
Ha ha Ray - has the bad weather affected your gardening?
22 Jul, 2009
No Dawn Jane just hands me a fresh pair of socks and tells me to get back to it !
If weather real bad during week I go at week ends .
22 Jul, 2009
Aww bless - but I dont believe that, lol.
22 Jul, 2009
Dawn well done, i'd be wonting to frame it.
22 Jul, 2009
Thanks Clarice - its is pretty unbelievable to see peaches growing in the garden. The tree is happy though, growing up against a south facing wall :-)
22 Jul, 2009
It is and we've not had that good weather for it to grow.
22 Jul, 2009
I think the excellent Spring weather did it good Clarice, as other years it has been frosted, it would be nice for it to have some more sun soon.
22 Jul, 2009
Think it would be nice for us all to get some more sun, have to admit its not cold its just so windy, and wet, with sun in between the showers.
22 Jul, 2009
I think so too Clarice, same weather as yours here. Just popped outside earlier though and quite cool.
22 Jul, 2009
lovely looking fruit.
24 Jul, 2009
it looks scrumpious Dawn...
24 Jul, 2009
Thanks Seab and Sandra. Amy says her's are usually ready mid-Aug :-)
Still hanging on after all the rain, wind and hail!
25 Jul, 2009
Great Dawn, this looks really tasty, glad the tree came good for you. Heres to many more.
29 Jul, 2009
Thanks Bob - there are quite a few on so lets's hope they can survive all this rain

How great to have your own peaches.......
10 Oct, 2009
It was HollyE, just hope it fruits next year after its pruning the other week.
10 Oct, 2009
im sure it will...............
11 Oct, 2009
My fingers and toes are crossed HollyE. We had a mild spring here this time which I'm sure helped. Its only a young tree, about 4 years old so did us proud this year.
