I recycled patio doors and added the gate.

In the right back ,I am creating a woodland area.I have Meadowsweet and Obediant plant there now.
On the Left,I just lopped off some of the Pear tree in order for the "arms" to now grow upwards.
The lower right of this picture show another gate entrance to my Japanese garden area.
The black pond will be covered soon in hopefully a pea gravel then I plan to be building a bridge across it.

I wanted to be able to leave the doors open (like a normal gate) but my husband and neighbours think it looks better closed.
So now I created a pathway with brick steps on the right of that huge tree.I have a black plank that keeps the patio doors closed for the Winter winds, as latches don't really work.
I've been reading up on creative cement , so I just might make some Japanese lanterns or something along the sidewalk...ah another project in the wings.

Love the red... and Japanese look :)

The red paint was a bright red.I asked the clerk to add more black into it to achieve the Oriental coloring.I think it was a Poinsetta red at first.
I'd love to add a pagoda in a deep yellow color somwhere in the yard overlloking the dry pond area....ah future projects.
