Garden visitor - female Varied Triller (Lalage leucomela)

The female has dark brown to black upper parts with a slightly paler eyebrow. The underparts are cinnamon-grey, finely barred all over with black. This bird has a distinctive trilling call - just beautiful.

It will give you some idea of the sound they make, but of course it's much better when they're just sitting in the trees around your house and singing in chorus for over forty minutes at a time!!!

Rhodea - yes I haven't seen these little ones before. There's a small flock of them hanging around at the moment, but they're very quick and it's hard to get a good shot of them.

Yeah I hear you .I've been trying to snap a picture of a lone House Finch whose been hanging out with the local sparrows.As soon as I get the camera, he takes off.Fast little fellow.
