A few days away

Last week, after a visit to York Races, my other half and I took a couple of days break in the Dales. I loved all these villages we passed through or spent time in; I love the fact that most people had made an effort to put colour in their front gardens. It really inspired me and I have come back ready to tackle a garden which I had recently given up on because of the poor weather this year. Thank you Yorkshire Dales gardeners!

Thanks for all your comments.
Lucky you Bloomer - to live down that way; we were based in Carperby, near Asgarth Falls. It's a lovely village - but everywhere in the Dales, I think, is lovely.
I have been busy in the greenhouse since my return, potting on all the plants I have been propagating; it's so exciting when they don't die off!
Meadowland have a good time in the cotswolds.

I just love it when I get inspired that way Phs. Don't forget to show us your front garden results. I too felt like giving up this year, but I never would....it's in my blood, wouldn't know what else to do with myself!
