I kind of think it looks like snufflelufficus from Sesame Street. Do you get Sesame Street in the UK? If not it is an American kids' programme and one of the minor characters is a very fluffy elephant-type thing.

lol aye ur right sarah it does look like snuffelufficus,,,,,,,,,,, we get seasame street over here but been a while since ive watched it, kids all grown up now so mostly music prog's they watch

I have started to prune the under branches quite heavily every spring and it obviously loves it as it gets lusher every year.
