Kate, today I did something that I ‘never’ do! A couple of weeks ago I planted 6 new Bugles with white variegated leaves. And they immediately put up flowers. So today I snipped off all the flowers in the hope that they will now grow outwards! It was hard! ;)

That’s interesting, Karen, I’d love this to spread..it’s been on the rockery for say a few years..it’s very slow. Maybe doesn’t like the slope? Would I be able to snip the flowers of this established one - I have 2 - and maybe it will spread?

Doubt it Kate. Its generally only young plants that this applies to. Sometimes they take years and suddenly they go off at quite a pace. I nearly dug one of mine out and the next year it was lovely.

Thanks Karen, I’ll keep persisting with it. It is a nice little plant with pretty upright flowers.
