Flowers not as large as most Amaryllis, but masses of blooms.

Beautiful. I thought it was Schizostylis in the thumbnail. Same colour and similar flower. :)

Thanks Ck. This is growing inside, and the flowers are much bigger. My Schiztostylus (Hesperanthus) are pink, not flowering yet.

I love them all, the pink, white and red ones. Mine are red. I brought some with me from the old garden, but there were some here when I move in! So now I have five clumps. Have just moved one clump in to the pond edge.

Are your Schizostylis flowering now Ck? Never seen a white one, post a pic when it flowers, please.

No Siris, sorry I only actually have Red! The one in the pond is flowering. The other clumps aren't yet.

Yes. They like boggy soil and are often sold as pond edge plants Siris. :) but i've never had a problem growing them in ordinary border soil. They are very adaptable!

I thought the same as Karen ,my Schizostylis are just starting to flower ,this is very nice Sue ,it looks as though it will remain in flower for some time to come !

It is a mass of flowers now, 4 days on.

Hb, The bulb I sent is of flowering size, but they have finished for this year. Much smaller bulbs than the Amaryllis we get at Xmas.
