A pretty little plant - I love the muted colour.

Hmmm...bit disappointed with Ms Austin and her nursery.....ordered them weeks ago...remember....then about two weeks later got a letter to say plants would be dispatched in June!! hmph! Shan't be troubling her again unless they turn out to be spectacular!! :((

Will do.....I was on her website recently looking at the plants and the gardens but not seriously, just browsing.

I 'was' going to be annoyed with her, but I take it all back. I bought some plants from her Nursery last autumn when we went to see our son, and two of them just didn't appear...but now they have little shoots coming through. :-))) She has 'different' things...Vernonia arkansas...I do hope they grow into good plants! All the others are doing well and almost in flower...Gillenia, Filipendula, Lysimachia ephemerum...

Lovely - I picked one up last year on a whim at a nursery (I liked the foilage) and was delighted when I saw the flowers and the colour as they are to my liking.
I didnt get any flowers last year, but this year it is just starting to flower. The greenfly seem to like it though...

Ooops! Mine have finished flowering, apart from one. I didn't see any greenfly, luckily.

Hi,
I just wondered if your Amsonia is producing seed pods that look like very slim pea pods ? and have you ever tried to grow from seed ? - though my ability to grow anything from seed is sadly lacking :-(

I don't think so, Paul - and I'm not going out in the pouring rain....I'll look if it (ever) stops. :-( I haven't tried from seed, no.

What else?
See who else is growing Amsonia tabernaemontana (Blue dogbane).
See who else has plants in genus Amsonia.
