Lovely deep yellow flowers over attractive dissected foliage. Very unusual to see a yellow anemone. Another SRGC Show buy

Which show are you going to Oj. I bought this one from the members table but Kevock plants sell it. I picked up their catalogue when I was there.

Buying starts as soon as the doors open. We were there about 11am and already the place was busy. The judging was still going on and then access to see who had won what was from 12 noon. Moongrower and Bulboholic run a book stall with both new and second hand books. Have you met them at earlier shows. If you buy plants from the members table you can almost guarantee that the plant will be suitable for your area.

You sound as though have plenty of space to fill.Give A.Ranculoides plenty of room its about a yard across in my garden .a favorite I look forward to each year.

Bjs the nice thing about the perennial anemones is that they like woodland settings so I have plenty of room under trees and shrubs where I can pop them and I'll be delighted if it fills that sort of space. I'll keep you posted on its progress.

I haven't met MG and B before. I've only know of them through this site since I joined in June last year. I'll look out for them this year, though.

I have our white A. nemerosa growing with them and they look lovely right now,Not Sure how it got there think it was a double that reverted to single.
Incidentally A Rananculoides throws up doubles every so often.

I have more surprises in store then with any luck. The chap from Ardfern nursery told me that the doubles are usually sterile, so should we be removing them in the same way as we would cut out single colour branches on variegated shrubs. There is so much to learn and the housework isn't done yet. I sat down at the computer with a cup of coffee (saves me eating biscuits) and I came on site to add two new poppy family members from SRGC.

Can't wait for the show to come here! Not long now.
That's so pretty, and unusual, too.
