What is the stick in the background? The Hosta planting is great. How are you going to work the grasses? I have a similar situation. I love the grasses, but I have trouble combining them....

Thank you very much for looking at my photo and your kind comment.
The "stick" is Banksia rose. I chopped off all the branches after flowering, that's why it looks like merely a stick or dead something. Please see the roses in bloom:

I love grasses too. I just plant them where there are some spots for them!
