Centaurea macrocephala

Centaurea macrocephala (Centaurea macrocephala (Great Golden Knapweed))

Name supplied by Shirley. Thankyou very much. I just couldn't remember it..!! And I only put a photo of it before the flower bud opened a couple of days ago!! Is there no hope for me?

Happens to me all the time! Is this invasive Hb? I would like some more yellow plants around my garden, but nothing that's going to be a 'spreader'.

It is lovely.

(Shirley, I had that 'problem' last year, and now have several Carex elata aurea, Bowles Golden Sedge) which make a lime/yellow splash.)
