Chamaerops humilis 'cerifera' - Blue Mediterranean Fan Palm

This is 1 of 2 newly planted Blue Mediterranean fan palms planted in front of the pool area in Morley Field, Balboa Park, San Diego, CA. This palm will eventually grow to around 20 feet/ 6.1 meters tall. Photo taken Feb. 23, 2010.

Do you mean Brahea armata - Mexican blue palm?
Mexican blue palms are going to start blooming soon. The inflorescence is very large and showy. They are a very common and popular palm here. Some look blue and some look very silvery-white...it just depends on the tree.

Yes the MBP but it'll have to come in winter there not very hardy are they ....:o)))

Actually, they are extremely hardy...from what I've read; down to 18 degrees F./
-8 degrees C. but...and it's a big but...they are very susceptible to rot and fungal diseases in cold and wet conditions. They are native to areas not too far south of San Diego, CA below the U.S./Mexican border and all of Baja California, Mx...where it's desert.
