That's strange - I've found it very easy. Full sun and ordinary soil. Being a clump former, I've been able to divide it and move it quite easily

Lori - typical 'thistle' seed - small seed with silky hairs attached so it can blow away in the wind

I don't think I've found any seedlings but I do tend to deadhead things on a pretty regular basis
