Coconut palm growing at the San Diego Zoo. Posted for my GoY friend Bernieh in Australia. This is the extent of our coconut growing in San Diego, CA. LOL! : > ) This plant has been in the ground for 3 years. Photo taken Nov. 10, 2009.

Do coconut palms need shade just inquiring as it seams quite shady there

Coconuts palms need a lot of sun, heat, and humidity...all year. This area actually faces southwest.
