Louise... they can reach around 10 feet (3 metres) but mine are more like 6 feet (2 metres).

They'd make a good bushy hedge, i imagine.

Yes definitely Louise ... they're often used just for that purpose here in the north. I have them as single bushes in a garden bed for added colour and I have a few together in one section just for that added splash of colour.
