Red Croton

Red Croton (Codiaeum variegatum)

This red croton was planted in early spring next to my Maranta, but it was way too shady there. It didn’t grow any news leaves at all this year. It’s now planted in the middle of my little pineapple grove. Hopefully, it will actually grow exposed to more light now. Photo taken on November 11, 2024.

Thank you 🙏

Crotons are famous for their brighly-colored leaves.
I have 4 different varieties in my front and back yards.

It should definitely do better in a light-filled spot.

I hope it likes this spot! It was in way too much shade all summer, it didn’t grow one leaf.
