Artichoke

siris

By Siris

Artichoke (Cynara scolymus)

I use an Artichoke as a decorative plant. They have purple thistle like flowers. To cook they take ages. Five good artichokes developing on this plant.

I let mine flower each year rather than cutting them for eating.

I don't eat our artichokes either Siris.

Such a waste of cooking time for a tiny end of edible veg.
