Thanks everyone. I had tried to grow these from seed over the last couple of years and failed miserably. So I bought a plant this year and put it in the front garden and lo and behold this plant popped up in the back garden. !!!! It's quite a lot taller than the one I bought.

What else?

See who else is growing Eryngium alpinum (Alpen Mannstreu).

See who else has plants in genus Eryngium.
