That's a different color than I'm used to. And such a crop of seeds, too.

Yes, I thought so too. :>)
We have the world's leading Poinsettia hybridizing Paul Ecke Ranch here in Encinitas, located in northern San Diego County. It produces most of the Poinsettias in the U.S.

I've seen photos of blue and black Poinsettias as well ... never thought that would be possible!

Bernieh:
The Paul Ecke Ranch has developed a red, white and blue Poinsettia for our the U.S. flag. It was very interesting.
It's amazing what can be done through hybridization!

Red, white and blue ... only in America! That is simply amazing!

Delonix: Sorry, I had to expand the picture a bit before I could see the tiny bracts. Buds they are!
Red, white, and blue??!! This I've got to look up!

Drat! Not finding anything about red, white and blue Poinsettias!

It was incredible! It's not too widely available...however, I saw blue, gold and black bracts on the Poinsettias at Home Depot today. I didn't take a photo with my iPhone. I will though...it was so strange to see them with these colored bracts. They had several other varieties with yellow, pink, red variegations also.

Tugbrethil:
Not sure if the red, white and blue Poinsettia is on the Eke Poinsettia Ranch internet site. It was at limited release item a couple of years ago. I'll see if I can find some information about it.
