thanks everyone...i do love them too, for me though they seem to be very short lived.. well apart from the very large white one i had in my last garden, that came back bigger and better year after year....the pink seem to be less robust, this is the second one i have had, i really like it though :D think i may just invest in a white one as well though ;-)

Useful to know that the white gauras seem more hardy.
Please add any more ideas/suggestions re. the rooting cuttings to my blog.Thanks. :o)
It's interesting to read on the blog which plants members have tried to propagate in this way....

Thanx TT il do that :)

yes please Jac, i am going to try myself, so if sucessful can do a swap if you like? and TT there are so many plants that you can root this way. at the end of the day you loose nothing by trying do you. in my experience most things that have knodes along the stem will root from the knode in water, the basic rules as you know is a straight cut just below the knode, remove all leaves apart from 2 or 3 at the top of the stem, nip out the tip and remove any flowers, top up the water rather than changing it. summer is a good time of year to do it too.
