This plant was a gift from a friend's garden... so I'm not really sure what variety this is... the leaves are a beautiful shape and smell spicy when watered or disturbed.

Excellent shot. I really need some Geraniums for my garden if i can find them. They just are not common in this country.

probably a daft question but can you eat this?? I had champagne the other day with a curled up hibiscus flower in it and when the champagne was poured on it it opened up! When i ate it it tasted a bit like rhubarb and raspberry! it was very nice! great pic by the way!!

Welllll...I'm not sure Ickle...give me something to research lol.
I have had a blended herbal tea called MOs24...it has 24 ingredients and the best part about it is the sweet/sour tang of rosehips and hibiscus flowers and as you can imagine it is a lovely rosey colour......I know that the perennial viola is edible...I've seen it in salads..
but not sure about geraniums... there is an oblique reference in the section on herbal teas in my herbal that says "scented geranium leaves"
The leaves of my pictured geranium are very spicy scented...should dry some and pour boiling water over ...see what it's like... if I don't turn up again by next week you'll know not to drink tea from geranium leaves.lol..

oooooo noooooo!!!! don't do that!!! Lori we would miss you far too much! I was a bit wary about eating it as i was the designated tester!! I had heard of the flower in as in a shampoo fragrance! It really was very yummy!
