Yours are lovely. Mine are only showing their buds at the moment.

This is a new plant, but the one next to it will flower any time now, and the H. niger has an open flower. I forgot to take a photo!

Very nice Spritz. Has a clean look to it. I had to take all the leaves off mine because of the spotting.

Yes, they are all beginning to grow, even under the snow!

What - more of it, or still, Volunteer?
Thanks. Poaannua - I've only taken the leaves off one, as they looked brown and dead, but the others are looking very healthy.

We're probably milder here, Homebird. I do love this one! :-)

Last night I was reading an article about Helleborus in The Plantsman RHS mag. it says .. First time in Britain .. in Dec 2009 another hybrid between H.niger and H xhybridus wil become available in Britain and will soon be available in North America . It is called Helleborus Walberton's Roemary (' Walhero' ) ... you must have been first in the Queue Barabara ... LOL....

What a shame that it appears it's sterile! We'd all be begging for seed, lol.
21 Jan, 2010
I didn't know that - but I don't tend to get seedlings anyway. I obviously grow the 'wrong' sort! My H. foetidus however.......
