Thanks! :>)
Hibiscus species and varieties are very widely grown as landscape shrubs/trees here in San Diego.

My favourite Hibiscus - I'm green with envy!

Meanie:
Is it not available for sell where you live?
I'm actually very surprised it's full of buds. I've been giving it lots of water because it's been so hot. My experience with most Hibiscus, is they need to be kept on the dry side.

There are two nurseries that list it, although both out of stock at the moment.
12 Jul, 2012
So it's not a common nursery item?
12 Jul, 2012
No, unlike H.rosa-sinensis which is.

Meanie:
Yes, we have hundreds of varieties of H. rosa-sinensis available for the landscape here. Almost every yard has at a least one.

Bit like here, except for it's almost every conservatory that has one!!

Marguerite:
I thought you lived in Perth...or is it a suburb of Perth?
18 Jul, 2012
Meanie:
Yes, I know.
18 Jul, 2012
Oh, is it north or south of Perth?
