I thought best putting the full name as I know our American chums call it something else , I have always known this variety as Blue Bird , this is a standard and I have had for years.

My immediate neighbour has this, it seeds itself prolifically in our block paving drive. I now have one as do most of the neighbours. She also has a Raspberry Ripple, looked for seeds around the bush- zilch! Tried cuttings - no good!

Yes so easy from seeds , very slow growing though ...

I also have "woodbridge" but the flowers have been ruined with all the rain to take a photo (also a standard).

Bathgate

I have a blue and pink one. We call it Rose of Sharon, but it's just a hardy hibiscus. It's tough to get rid of too. I chopped and hacked at it for ages and it keeps coming back, and brings a few friends along too!
