This Wax vine is growing up a tree at the San Diego Zoo. Photo taken Nov. 3, 2011. It had such a powerful sweet fragrance. Posted for Alexandramou in Greece.

You most likely can grow your Hoya vine outdoors along a fence. They like to be grown outdoors in semi-shade to full sun (but not reflected heat).

We used to grow a white one indoors made a terrible mess on the ledge, lovely perfume though.

Yes, the flowers have a lot of honey-like sap.
