Both in bloom locally.

They can take some cold..but not much to kill flowers and not too much more to kill the tree. Oldest ,largest tree's here Janey are in areas close enough to SF bay that you can feel the breeze. Protects them from a hard freeze.

I love the Jacaranda too. I managed to get one to grow from seeds brought back from Cyprus. Sadly it got too big for the greenhouse in the winter and I lost it :-(

There are Waddy for sale now that are dwarf sized. Not sure if they are clones or grafted..but they grow and bloom in pots at only 2' or so tall. Can be kept potted forever. So,no reason you can see this in your greenhouse one day.

Just beautiful! Gorgeous colours together, Stan. A spectacular pairing.

I'll have to try and get one of those Stan.

Stan,
They’re looking good. My large Jacaranda tree in front yard is in full bloom now. The Jacaranda trees here bloomed a little late in San Diego this year.

What else?
See who else is growing Jacaranda mimosifolia (Brazil Rosewood).
See who else has plants in genus Jacaranda.

Lovely to see them Stan, they take me back to when I had them both in my Spanish garden.
The jacaranda didn't survive one snowy winter we had though.
