LOL! This plant is so small. It's not very impressive.
I used to have very large Brazilian Plume Flower plants in my front yard, which had many giant flowers spikes, when I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area. This plant grows huge in the San Francisco Bay Area...I once saw a plant that was 12ft/4m tall by 12ft/4m wide that had hundreds of flowers on it. It looked like a giant pink candelabra. (I wish I had a digital camera back then).
Brazilian Plume Flower should grow very easily in your climate...as long as it's grown in shade. It's much hardier than Bougainvillea.

Yes, it's hardier than Bougainvillea. I would guess one of the several varieties should be for sale there. I would be jealous if you have the red-flowering one available for sale there...it's pretty much impossible to find the red variety here, now (not sure why?).
Here's my other Justicia species pics:

Delonix jealous of a plant?!??! I'm going to search high and low to find the red variety. ;o)))
Had a look at your other Justicia pics, I like this pink one the best.

My favorite is Justicia aurea. I have several planted around the yard. They're all very easy to start from cuttings.

Just lovely! I also have the pink, and the white. I'm on the lookout for some other colours now.

Thanks! I used to have this pink and white when I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area. There's a few other varieties available here. The most common variety is 'Huntington' it
has a brighter darker flowers. The red variety is pretty impossible to find here. It used to be available for sale in the 1960's and 70's.

What a colour........so pink!!

This one is only so, so. The variety 'Huntington' has a much richer and brighter pink color...and the flower bracts are colored pink, also.

That would be worth seeing......

It's commonly available at all the nurseries here. I believe this variety was developed here in southern California at The Huntington Gardens in San Marino (Los Angeles Metro Area).
