My young sausage tree have just finished putting out some growth for the second time this year. Photo taken for Terratoonie on June 23, 2013.

You would be surprised! LOL! There's so many unusual trees which grow here. I went through a list a few years back.
Here's just a few tree names: custard tree (Annona), scrambled-egg tree (Cassia surrattensis), star apple (Chrysophyllum cainito), jack fruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus), chewing gum or chicle tree (Manilkara chicle), eggfruit (Pouteria)...this is just a little taste of the exotic trees which grow here in San Diego. I have photos posted on GoY of all these trees growing here.
