We visited for free as It's Mental Health Awareness week and the place was so very busy as we left. Thank goodness we arrived earlier in the day.

I posted a blog in 2023 on these gardens, have searched for it but it must have been deleted. Might post another ... :o)

Chichester! That has to be our next overnight break! Is it worth a visit Shirley? We were in Winchester yesterday, it was lovely.

Chichester is lovely Karen … lots of flint walls and a great cathedral and of course close to the harbour. Hopefully Shirley will agree!

The beach is 6 miles away, worth visiting are the Weald & Downland Living Museum (where The Repair Shop TV prog is recorded), Chichester Cathedral and The Bishop's Palace Garden are both wonderful.

A little further away is Fishbourne Roman Palace, Arundel Castle and Cathedral.

Goodness me, I sound like a tour guide for West Sussex ... :o)))

I think we will definitely go there in September when the schools are back. Thank you! X

Also, The Novium Museum, where you can see a Roman bathhouse, not to be missed, says my daughter!
