Our larch trees look so nice at this time of year. One of the few conifers which loses its leaves in the Winter.

The colour is so vibrant at this time of year but any day now the needles will drop and the tree will be bare. We have some others set in a block of about 20 and they are really impressive. Just a common forestry tree to be honest so eventually they wil be too big and will have to go :-( . Probably after my lifetime though.

We had one as big as that a few feet from our back door Dawn , we had to take it out a couple of years ago as the needles were dropping in piles on the ground and being trodden indoors we couldn,t get rid of the needles they got into everything , a bit like christmas tree needles in the carpets , it was a shame it was a lovely tree , your dosn,t look to close to the house !

Someone else on the site had one set close to the front of his house, they had sap on the windows and pavings were cracked and all that. They are a forestry tree after all - ours will have to be thinned out eventually.

This tree is a pretty colour and shape.
I guess it will take a while to grow really large.

Hi TT, doesnt look like this now :-( The needles have all fallen. They grow very fast actually, this tree is about 20 feet high and its only been set 6 years and was about 1 foot high then!

Wow, that is fast-growing !
I really like this photo with the contrasting shades of 'green' and the taller slender tree branches behind. Well-composed picture. :o)

Thanks TT, you'll see another one to the left - got husband a hammock last year and it hangs very nicely between the too - very tranquil IF the sun shines :-)

Maybe a photo of husband-in-hammock this summer ?
...after he has built roof for your bird-table. LOL

You never know TT, don't think he'll ever have time to get in it .... I have too many jobs on the list, lol.

Aww, bless you Gwendas. When everything gets on top of us it is awful, I think we've all been there at some point. I think a good, hot summer is what we all need!
