The books say this is a bit tender - I don't think it's noticed we had a bad winter!

I've not noticed any. But as they are native to Arizona, our summers are probably not hot enough

I decided to check the not very promising remnants of the flowers, and a few gave up some seeds . I promptly sowed them and they started germinating within four days!
