Isn't it gorgeous Janey :)
I also like the pink type but i think this is stunning and i wanted it for my white wave of planting.
I'm still thinking i might get the pink one, i haven't seen them lately though. Probably a good thing ..... i don't NEED a pink one :))

It looks like a Lychnis flos-cuculi! I´ve never seen it in white! You British have "always" the better hand with gardening..... (that´s the say!?)--- A beautiful plant, I want it.....

Nelke, thanks ! It IS a beautiful plant !
I really like this white version and it's perfect in my white border.
The pink is lovely too though.
Spritz, i don't know whether they can be successfully propagated.

Louise, is it really a L. flos-cuculi? - But now I looked myself. That means, it would be possible to get the seeds somewhere...

Nelke, yes, it really is a L flos cuculi.
The local garden centre to me had them - lots of them !!!
In both colours, i don't think they'd be difficult plants to find.

The pink one I have is called L. flos-cuculi 'Jenny' if that's any help, Nelke.

Now: thanks for Your care, Louise and Spritzhenry. But in germany... Fact is, I never saw the white ones and many others, which seem to be common in Britain and which (always??) have their special names...- Sometimes I thought to even move... but only for the weather (which I like) and the gardens...?

And why not, Nelke! Come on over and join us! :-)

That´s nicely said, Spritzhenry! I´ll think about it when retiring... (7 ys)

We retired from Kent to Somerset, and haven't regretted it at all. :-)
