The Crab Apple Tree on the grass verge out side our property, loaded as usually with fruit, over 40 years old.

I take it that when they fall off the tree they are ripe? Of what's do they taste? I might get the step ladder out and pick some. I am sure there a receipts on the Webb.

Thank you Hb, my mother's old receipt book gives a receipt for Crab Apple Jelly with cinnamon added and loads on the Webb.

Love to see a mature Crab apple tree. I saw a lovely one this spring...all blossom and bulbs underneath it. Looked so romantic and pretty but it was nowhere near as big as this one!
