This looks lovely, how big will it grow? My local council are offering free whips, including Crab Apple, but I'm not sure it would fit in my small urban garden when fully grown..

It should fit perfectly, Fluffymeg. It doesn't get too big and it's a hardy. It's not demanding and its blossoms in the spring are so rewarding!
