That is a lovely photo,Simbad..Mine never has so many feathers:o( Are there different varieties of Miscanthus Sinensis then? the foliage on yours looks a different colour, from the green and white stripe one that I have..or could it be the trick of the light/sun ? Mine is changing into it's usual straw colour now..mind you,I do keep splitting it..maybe the reason I don't get many feathers ! :o)

The only reason I remembered Amy is because I added it on here when I bought it ;-)
Thanks Linda and Bloomer :-). I'm sure there are lots of different varieties of SInensis, this one has plain green leaves, is yours Zebrinis ?I have that one too and its never had many feathers here either,I was just looking at it yesterday and wondering whether to move it in spring.

Yes,Simbad, that's the one..Thanks for the info..I have split mine a few times, and it's been moved all over the place ! :o)I currently have three lots now,one in a big tub :o)

My mistake kathy ,I found my plant label mine is Miscanthus sinensis Nepalensis and yes it is on my plant list here , but I must say they both look the same to me anyway ! Lol ...

Thats it then Bloomer mines being moved in the spring I've had it years and never split it it never seems to get any bigger!!, maybe my heavy clay, I'll move it to a better spot in the spring :-)
I don't know how you'd tell the difference either Amy unless they're the stripy ones they're all just well green lol,do love them when the light catches them.

Mine in the big tub is doing well,Simbad..it has plenty of room to grow,so I won't be moving it again ! I'm not sure about the other two :o) who knows ? Lol.

This makes the best cat toy. My guys follow me out to mine, hoping I'll have them chasing it all over the place.
