This has spread right along the wall. It's very welcome to, as well!

It's a shade plant, Dawn - and it spreads rather than seeding itself, as well as being a perennial. So all in all, yes, I think I do!

Sounds good. Forget Me Not is quite annoying when it seeds everywhere.

I keep meaning to get this but then i get way layed by other plants. It looks similar to alkanet in the flower form. is it related?

I just looked it up - it's in the Borage family, so yes. It isn't hairy, though!

reminds me of brunnera too, though its flowers are tiny.

Hmmm...can't see that one, Sbg.

the small bright blue flower. I think the brunnera very dainty but similar shape. or am i imagining it? wil have to have a look when it starts to fower.

Hmmm...maybe. Don't they grow in sprays, though?

It is the same colour flowers as the Brunnera, ours is out now, the flowers are much smaller though on the Brunnera.

Oooh! I haven't crawled under the Photinia to take a look - I must do that, only...yes, it's raining ...again....:-(((
24 Mar, 2010
Same here, beautiful morning, rain all afternoon.
24 Mar, 2010
We had damp, cloud, drizzle, dry-ish, rain. I did get a bit done in the dry-ish period, but it didn't include crawling under the Photinia!
24 Mar, 2010
It is ok crawling under, it is another thing getting up again, without treading on all the tender plants coming up.....!!
27 Mar, 2010
How true! I always get caught on a twig, as well - maybe I won't crawl in after all. &:=/

Perhaps another day!!!
27 Mar, 2010
Perhaps not, as well! :-(((
