Any advice on care, mate?
And don't say "Buy a mower!". Lol.
7 May, 2013
lol no mate these are easy to grow and they are very hardy too, have pink flowers and black berries, no other care needed.

No lawn feed?
8 May, 2013
Lol no mate.
9 May, 2013
Maybe in a few decades, eh? ;-)
9 May, 2013
Lol yes maybe.
10 May, 2013
Do the pods just drop & self-sow, mate?
11 May, 2013
That's right mate :-)
11 May, 2013
I'm hardening off the wee clump Shirley sent me & wasn't sure if I had to intervene or not, but guess I wouldn't have had to worry about seeds for quite some time yet, Surrey?
12 May, 2013
They are a hardy grass type Mouldy so should be able to handle any temp, flowers maybe next year though as they can flower in the second year.
12 May, 2013
Hardy's one thing, but we're forecast for snow next week!
The grass, along with the new batch of seedlings will spend the next week or so in the front room with the window open, as I've no intention of leaving them out on the landing like the 1st lot!
Roll on xmas, let's have a heatwave! Lol.
12 May, 2013
Lol, blimey snow again, weathers having a laugh now, good luck with it mate I don't blame you keeping them in.
13 May, 2013
I lost all of my seedlings, Surrey!
A neighbour sprayed air-freshener all over the landing, where I was keeping them overnight, during their hardening off.
I had a few choice words with him, as you'd imagine!
That's why I haven't posted any photos of their progress, recently.
I've planted up those bulbs that were established in pots, as they weren't showing immediate signs of chemical poisoning, but, well, I just don't know, mate.
I'll have to wait & see.
Meanwhile, the 2nd batch are in the front room, where I can keep an eye on them.
I had a quiet word with about letting his dog use the back court as a toilet & less than a week later he's spraying the landing.
What are the chances? (asks Mouldy in his best Harry Hill voice) Lol.

Sorry to hear that mate. I was growing my hedge last year letting it get 6ft a nice size, my old neighbour came out while I was at work and cut it down to 3 ft with her trimmer... Not impressed with her..
15 May, 2013
He must have read on the can it's not supposed to be used around pets, fish or plants, but he pled ignorance.
He's lucky I didn't end up pleading manslaughter! ;-)
Still, what's done...
Several of the bulbs I planted in the garden are now sending up shoots, the roses, forythia, weigela & honeysuckle are all showing signs of growth, but the rest, who can say?
Hopefully the new batch of seedlings will do the business.
Onwards & upwards, eh?
16 May, 2013
True mate, good luck with it all, hope it works out.
16 May, 2013
Thanks, Surrey.
A sunny morning today, so took them out sunbathing for an hour.
Back to rain tomorrow, but at least the wind has gone for a few days.
Famous last words. Lol.
17 May, 2013
Yes lol famous last words, been nice here too, mostly cloud but warm'ish.... :-)
17 May, 2013
