I’ve a few ornamental grasses around the garden. Nice space fillers for me. I’m not a big lover, but, they look nice amongst some shrubs.

Amy, can you recommend one to look good in a pot.

Karen it has many names, monkey grass!! being one.... although we have had a tremendous amount of rain, the garden is still workable!
Dawn, we have been growing grasses for over 30 years, love them, so many wonderful varieties to chose from....
Amy, I am not surprised, I have a job remembering ours, trying to put more labels in these days!
Kate, ours are dotted around the borders, some have to be split regularly, otherwise they take over the garden.....but I can't resist them....

I use eBay, Amazon, also The Secret Garden, but mostly buy at our local nurseries, who always have a good selection.......what are you looking for, anything in particular Dawn?

Dawn - how big is the pot? I've grown one called carex oshimensis 'Evergold' in a pot for donkey's years and it always looks good

Andrew we have this one also, most Carex are very hardy and reliable....

Having seen Dd's 'grass border' for real, I've started a small area myself, starting with a Black stemmed Bamboo which she gave me a piece of and a gardeners gater Phalaris, (both contained in pots).

Not heard it called Black Mondo before...lovely colours. Everything here is mush and all the leaves are on the floor. I managed to get some work done today, but really it isn’t fit for working..far too muddy.
