stunning! i have a couple of Oriental poppys that are just coming into bud so i am very much looking forward to seeing them for the first time :-) i don't think either are the same as this though this really is lovely.

Thanks folks - I can't believe how many flowers this has this year - I only planted last spring and it produced only 1 or 2 flowers. But this year, WOW! I had worried it would be too shady for it as it's near the apple trees and surrounded by quite tall perennials and shrubs - obviously I needn't have worried tho!

This is a real beauty Sid...This year i have planted 'pattys plum' kindly sent to me by Bigbumblebee....and 'perrys white' another present...cant wait 'till spring...:>)

They are lovely arnt they - my only (tiny) moan is that they leave a big gap when they go over.....

Yes, I agree Sid. I now cut them down and put a pot of plants in to keep the colour going and filll the space.I do love them in early summer though!

Hi Paul - yes I usually do that too. I had a lovely Phormium ' Yellow Wave' in a pot that did the job nicely, but unfortunately this winter was too cold for it and it didn't survive. I'll have to find something else now!
