Been for a while (I went back to Japan recently).
Now allioniis have started flowering in the cold frame.

Impressively tidy few more flowers it would do well on a show bench.A quite old variety I started growing it in the 1970s used a few time for hybridizing ,the best seedling which retained the wavy edge is Allionii 'Stradbrook Flounce'

I've been watering with rain water (no tap water at all) and treating with provado vine weevil killer 2 or 3 times a year (no vine weevils but for root aphids)
