I bought the Trollius today Angie!

Which one did you buy Karen? I would have gladly sent you up some of mine.

Thanks very much Angie! I didn't know you got different ones! lol...shows how much I know! It didn't have a name on it, just T. europaeus. They weren't expensive...£1.99 each, so I bought three to make a nice clump in the border. They all have flowers on...so beautiful, I've never grown this before.

I cut you off short last night Karen - bother with the dishwasher!!
There are many different ones and I hadn't a clue about them either until I was recommended them to grow in moist soil. See how you fair with the ones you have and you are more than welcome to some of the other I have.

Thank you so much. The soil down there is heavy clay, so let's see...as you say...how it goes! You're right about the Mahonia...mine looks so awful, that I decided to put it in there and if it dies, there won't be much of a loss!

Isn't it so annoying! I do hope it fairs better in the ground there. I'll be doing the same with mine no doubt!

Thanks, not much hope. It will probably be fine by August and then get beaten up in February again.

Hi Angie, saw this earlier and forgot to comment. Amazing number of flower heads on each plant. Love the way you document your photos with the white script text. Bet it makes it so much easier to keep track of things in your garden portfolio.
