After flowering I cut back the foliage, which gets a bit mildewed and tatty....then it grows back.....rather attractive I think!

Just bought one of these on a 'bargain' bench. Lovely foliage. It is coming back nicely. I suppose 'neglect' acts the same as 'mildew' in my case.
