Not sure whether this is a wasp, a bee or a hoverfly! But it's brave to be out in February!

We had a whopper in the garden going through the snowdrops today, massive bee. Hope he has got back home safely. It has been a beautiful day and I am cream crackered, bet you can guess why!!

I can't do anything this year. What with all the bark mulch. All I can do is wait and try not to tread on the emerging plants too much.....tricky! It is a real exercise in patience! Anything I buy now has to go in a pot. Mind you, I did dig out a wee bit more turf last week in order to plant a Viburnum Tinus under the Cercis tree! Result...planting opportunities for small plants....hence purchases at SRGC early bulb show last saturday! lol. Next job is pond, but I really need Cal's help for that. I suppose I'll have to bribe him with money....AGAIN!! :)) btw, he has been taken on for the summer at a wilderness camp in Colorado! What a boy!

Erm, June I think, until August. It's good really as it means he can't afford to fail any exams this term! lol x

DD, not really as I only bought it last saturday and it was already flowering in it's pot, so it's probably been grown in a tunnel.
Too right Mum! :)

I was just thinking that's a brave Hoverfly . . let's hope he has somewhere sheltered to get back to. Great sign of Spring.
