Getting a little more bold about flowering every day. I love having this one, it's a bright spot all winter.

It's amazing how pretty this plant is blooming! I know Ruellia species self seed very easily.

It is ridiculous how prolific it is! I planted it in a terrarium first and suddenly had four. It's been potted ever since. WEll, all of them have been. :-)

You're correct...many species are prolific. I never see the seeds on my Ruellia species...however, they pop up all over the yard.

I have a long wheat-looking seed at the base of every flower. They just plop off when mature, so I give it a good shake now and then. :-) It blooms year round as long as it is kept trimmed.
