Thanks. You know I love Salvias... I got this as a change from Penstemons to fill a 'sunny gap' three or four years ago. It is hardy and only needs a tiny trim if any shoots die off. Very easy. I've got three now - one pink, one deeper pink and this.

is this the shubby sort? i have have a red shrubby one, i had one a few years ago in my other garden, i tried to dig it up and move it when we came here, but it just did'nt like it and never took off. well on one of my GC trips during the winter i found another one, which i think is simular to the one i had - well according to the lable it is, but it has'nt flowered as yet, it did get a bit of frost damage on new shoots, which i trimed back and it is picking up nicely now. i hope it will be as lovely as the last one i had.

Yes - I have other types, too. I'll have to check 'my garden' for their names. I spotted a flower on one today! :-)

mm very nice, mine has got a bit bashed, i am not sure if virus or animal to be honest. you know my 'buddy rose' well it has got funny markings on the leaves, - colour very pale and darker green viens, looks like a virus, and this plant is next to it. also not looking to clever... i am fairly certain that the rose has something, but the Salvia, keeps having twigs broken, which has made me think ... fox wee! it has this yellowing effect on the grass, and i can smell them in this area... :-(
