Another photo of one of my favourite Salvia!

Thanks! There are still a few more that are in a race against the first frosts but this hasn't been the best year for growing Salvia.

It very much depends on the species/cultivar but as a rule more sun and heat than we had this year would've been good. S.oxyphora is quite a hardy species as it grows in the wild in the forests on the lower slopes of The Andes at anything up to 2000 metres. So it will do reasonably well in a UK summer even if it is not great.
