I had to take over 6 pics in order to get one flower in focus, although there are about 5 flowers at present. It is planted in the ground.

Yes a lovely one. I worked in a Cambridge bookshop once ... perhaps I should grow it too!

Amy, I hope your seelings will have 'true' blue flowers. This was a vegetative cutting.

They have come true before Sue and the Oxford blue fingers crossed for next year ...

Amy, is Oxford blue lighter or darker than Cambridge? The 'blurb' on the web information is misleading, also some of the pics show intense blue some pale blue. Some show Oxford blue flowers with a touch of white, but that might be a feflection of light!

The Oxford blue is lighter Sue more a nice paler sky blue .. I've never had white on Oxford blue so could be as you say the reflection ..

I thought the other way round because in the boat race the Oxford crew are in dark blue and the Cambridge crew are “the light blues”! But I’m often wrong ...

Sheila you are quite right what was I thinking , I hope Siris sees my mistake , I'm having too many senior moments lately I can't even blame the Covid unless I've had it and didn't know .🤨 ..
Sheila was the book shop Heffers ?

Amy, yes I worked in Heffers Children’s shop in the 1990s, it was great fun. Though I was older than most of my colleagues we got on really well and still keep in touch!

Thank you Amy & Sheila, glad it brought back some reminders of your past lives.

All my Salvias have done brilliantly this year, the herbaceous ones and the shrubby ones, flowered for ever once they started.

Like Dotty, I have a huge Salvia Amistad - just taken six cuttings and put the parent in the greenhouse!
