This is such a valuable wildlife plant in the UK. The flowers attract a lot of insects and birds feed on the berries. We too use the flowers and berries in wine, cordials and pies. Very tasty ! :~)

I used it as a medicine plant - a lot of vitamin C - great for colds and flu. But it was back in Poland, I was living in a countryside - so it was much easier to make homemade products:)

Muddywalters, yes, there are so many bees on their flowers.(I have one in my garden). In my country it is used for making jam. In Germany it is used for making Shnaps. :)
Yes, Okasia, a lot of vit. C and so delicious!
Louise, there were so many ones on the shrub!
